Biography
In 2018, Alexander joined the School of Historical Studies at the University of to work on a PhD project entitled Knowledge, Ignorance, and Decision Making: Theories and Practices of Politics in Early Modern Bremen, supervised by Justyna Wubs-Mrozewicz and Geert Janssen. The project has been funded by the Leverhulme Trust and the DAAD. He is a board member at the Amsterdam Centre for Urban History, commissioning editor at the Journal for the History of Ideas Blog, and the UvA’s ambassador for the Economic History Society. Alongside my historical work, he also reviews and reports on policy data for the Oxford Covid-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT).
